Tremiti Islands ferry

The Tremiti Islands are an archipelago in the Adriatic Sea in front of the Gargano promontory and consist of the islands of San Domino and San Nicola, the islets of Pianosa and Capraia and the rocks of Cretaccio and La Vecchia.
The Tremiti Islands ferry is the only way to reach the islands in both low and high season. The ports of departure from the mainland are, in addition to the main port of Termoli, the ports of Vieste , Rodi Garganico and Peschici. These two ports only connect the Tremiti in the spring/summer period.

There are three shipping companies operating in the area, two of which are seasonal: GS travel, which operates only on the Termoli Tremiti route, and Navi Tremiti, which connects the other two mainland ports with the Tremiti archipelago.
The only company that guarantees territorial continuity throughout the year is Navigazione Libera del Golfo, which operates the main and most popular route all year round from Termoli to the two islands: San Domino on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays, Saturdays and Sunday and San Nicola on Tuesdays and Thursays.
In the peak season there are around 10 departures per day while during the rest of the year there are 3 departures per day. Each departure is made only during daylight hours.

For those travelling with children, it is useful to know that: Navi Tremiti and GS Travel do not charge for children from 0 to 2 years of age, they apply reduced fares for customers from 3 to 12 years of age and from 13 years of age they are considered full fare. For Navigazione Libera del Golfo (NLG) the distinction is different in that they do not charge only passengers up to one year of age, reduced fares instead go for children from 2 to 11 years of age and from 12 years of age onwards the full fare is automatically applied.

Please note: all tickets are linked at the time of purchase and cannot be changed under date, as there is no time frame. For this reason, it is best to organise your trip as well as possible; for example, if you have to arrive at the port of departure by train, take into account the arrival time at Termoli railway station, which is about 20 minutes' walk from the pier to the Tremiti Islands.

On the Tremiti Islands ferry there are essential services to make your crossing as pleasant as possible. You will find basic toilet facilities and on some you will also find bar stations where you can buy snacks and drinks. On board each hydrofoil you can embark your bicycle but no other type of vehicle.

For all passengers with reduced mobility, shipping companies provide assistance with embarking and disembarking to ensure a safe journey. Many ships also have special areas for wheelchair users.

🐾 Pets
Pets are welcome on all Tremiti Island ferries. Dogs must be kept on a lead and muzzled, while all other small animals require a pet carrier or cage. Before you travel, make sure you have everything you need, including a health booklet with all vaccinations in order and a ticket for your furry friend. Once on board, you and your pet can access the designated areas. Please note: On some ships, exceptions are made for guide dogs for the blind, who may spend the crossing next to their owner in areas other than the designated areas.

🧳Luggage
On board the Tremiti Islands ferry, each passenger is entitled to one piece of luggage free of charge up to 20 kg, while those paying a reduced fare are entitled to one piece of baggage up to 10 kg. The hydrofoil boats, on the other hand, allow one piece of standard size baggage weighing up to 10 kg, while those paying a reduced fare are entitled to one piece of luggage weighing up to 5 kg. If passengers have extra luggage, they can add it at the ferry company's port ticket office at check-in for a small supplement.
