Ferries Pozzuoli Procida

The port of Pozzuoli, located in the north-western part of the Gulf of Naples, is connected to the island of Procida, the smallest in the Gulf, considered a treasure full of wonders and culture.

🛥️ The Pozzuoli Procida route is operated by two shipping companies, Medmar and Caremar. Medmar operates 10 crossings per week, lasting approximately 40 minutes. Caremar operates 3 crossings a day, taking about 30 minutes. 

The distance between the ports of Pozzuoli and Procida is approximately 6 nautical miles. 

🚗 As these are hydrofoil boats and not conventional ferries, it is not possible to take a car with you as there is no garage on board. Passengers can rent a scooter when they disembark in Procida. Only if you are travelling with Caremar and have a special permit will you be able to circulate and travel with your own vehicle.

You will also not be able to disembark on the island in your own vehicle, as the Municipality of Procida prohibits the landing of vehicles in the area between April and October.

🐶 Your pet is welcome on board! Pets are allowed on board the hydrofoils on the Pozzuoli Procida route, but they must be kept on a leash and muzzled if necessary. 

Upon request and reservation, assistance will be provided to passengers with reduced mobility for embarkation and disembarkation; this service should be requested in advance at the time of booking.

Although these are hydrofoil boats and not conventional ferries, there are a number of onboard facilities to make the crossing comfortable and relaxing. 

🍸 There is a bar/café, toilets, air conditioning and luggage storage for passengers. There are also recliners in the air-conditioned common area. 

💺 The route is served by hydrofoils, and the only accommodation option is the deck passage. You will be able to stay comfortably in the air-conditioned lounges on board. The interiors are comfortable and equipped with cozy seating so that passengers can enjoy the crossing in total relaxation and peace.
