Vulcano is known for its open-air "Pozza dei Fanghi", located near the port. The thermal baths are made up of sulphurous thermal springs with therapeutic properties and pools of sulphurous mud.

A boat trip from Vulcano takes visitors to the "Grotta del Cavallo", which is made up of tunnels, small lakes and special stalactites and stalagmites. It is located not far from the port in the channel that separates the island of Vulcano from Lipari.

A few kilometres from the port of Vulcano, the village of Lentia is located on cliffs overlooking the sea which offers a magnificent view of the islands of the archipelago.
