How to reach the Port of Vaasa

By car

The port is located on the island of Vaskiluoto and is connected to the city centre by a short bridge. Access roads are clearly signposted and take you directly to the terminal building.

By bus – Line 13

The city service Wasabus 13 connects Vaasa city centre with the ferry terminal. The bus usually departs around 1 hour before the scheduled ferry departure. After the ferry arrives, the return bus leaves roughly 10 minutes later. For night arrivals between 00:00 and 02:00, no return transfer is offered.

Tickets are available via the Waltti app, by contactless payment, or in cash (Euro).

By train

Vaasa railway station is located in the city centre and is not directly linked to the port. From there, you can reach the terminal by bus line 13, by taxi, or—during summer months—by e-scooter. Travel time from the station to the port is usually 10 to 15 minutes, depending on traffic.

Taxi & e-scooters

Taxis are available across the city. In the warmer months, e-scooters are also available, with designated parking zones located directly at the terminal.
