Trelleborg is a town full of charm. Its name comes from a Viking ring fortress, Trelleborgen, which has recently been restored and can be visited.
It is a popular summer destination due to its unspoilt beaches surrounded by nature. Camping enthusiasts will find plenty of areas where they can camp with a tent or camper van, just a stone's throw from the sea. If you are travelling with your four-legged friend, you will find a dog-friendly beach within walking distance of the city centre. Head to the nearby Falsterbo peninsula, you'll find a long sandy beach and the Måkläppen nature reserve, where you can spot grey seals.
If you decide to go to Trelleborg, be sure to visit its centre, where you can admire historical buildings, museums, beautiful gardens and the statues of Axel Ebbe, an important local artist whose works are scattered throughout the town.

From the train station passengers can walk to the port in just 10 minutes. It is possible to reach the port by bus from Malmö; Swebus serves a direct connection from Malmö Svävarterminal to Trelleborg port.
To reach the Trelleborg terminal by car, if you are coming from Malmo, which is about 35 km away, you will need to take the E22 towards Trelleborg while, from the city of Ystad you will need to follow the national road 9 that will take you directly to the ferry terminal.
