The port of Savona is one of the main ports of call in Liguria, known in fact as Vado Ligure, it supports with the movement of goods and passengers part of the city's economy. The port was born about 2000 years ago and nowadays is divided into Palacrociere, a very important cruise port of call positioned in the center of the city and the port of Savona(Vado Ligure).

Close to the port you will find a military complex that dominates the city center and the port, namely the Priamar Fortress. It is located 650 meters from the port, so it can be easily reached on foot.

By car it is possible to reach the port of Savona via the A10 highway. The train station is about 6 km from the port, which can be covered by the active shuttle service or by connections provided by public transport.
