Rostock is a city in Northern Germany, in the Mecklenburg-Vorpommern region, located at the mouth of the river Warnow.

The port of Rostock has a long history dating back to the Hanseatic League. Today, it has 5 terminals and is an important hub for passengers and goods maritime traffic with the Baltic and Scandinavian countries.

With the ferry connections from Rostock, you can reach Trelleborg in Sweden with the ferry companies Stena Line and TT-Line. They offer around five departures per day and the crossing lasts 6 hours.

If you want to visit Denmark, you can set off for Gedser with Scandlines and arrive to the Danish port in 2 hours. There are several departures every day.

The ferry Rostock Klaipėda connects Germany and Lithuania in about 27 hours with the ferry company TT-Line. They offer from 2 to 5 departures per week.

The ferry terminal is situated 15 minutes by car from the city centre. You can find parking, bars, supermarkets, public restrooms and waiting lounges.

Lübeck is a medieval city that has come down to the present day practically intact. Its entire historic centre has been declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The ferry terminal is about 16 km from the city centre, but can be easily reached with the city buses. They leave approximately every 30 minutes. If you are driving from Lübeck or Hamburg you can follow the A20 motorway to Rostock, then continue on the A19 towards Rostocker Uberseehafen. If you are coming from Berlin you can take the A24 motorway to Wittstock/ Dosse and then continue on the A19.
