Ferries to Psara Port connections and services

Vacations for each person are very subjective, there are those who seek the hectic vacation full of fun and socializing, and those who seek the vacation immersed in total relaxation, away from the tourists in order to indulge themselves and forget the daily stress.
Psara is a small islet, located in the middle of the Aegean Sea, an island far away from everyone and everything, you will almost feel like the only tourist during your stay!

Near Psara, you will find 7 other small islands, Antipsara, Kato, Nisi, Aye Nikolaki, Daskalio, Prasonisi, and Nisopoula.
The Mycenaean civilization ruled these islands for a long time, unfortunately there was a disastrous event that affected the islands, to gain independence there was a real holocaust in 1824, starring the heroes of the insurrection such as Kanaris, Nikodimos and many others.

→Port information: The port of Psara is quite close to the city center, reachable by foot. With an easy walking distance passengers can find various services such as hotels, bars, restaurants, grocery stores, ATM’s and shops.

The port area is very active and can be reached from Piraeus, and other nearby islands: Chios, Inousses and Lesvos thanks to the ferries of Blue Star Ferries company.

Psara ferries About Psara

Psara is a beautiful small island in the Aegean, unknown to most. Social life revolves around the only village on the island, which takes its name from the island itself. The village of Psara offers to its visitors a quiet and peaceful atmosphere with its few taverns and bars.

When you arrive you will find an island with characteristic Greek elements, white houses resting on rocks and a blue, unspoiled sea.
You will not find smog, vehicle circulation, the island has remained exactly as it has always been! The welcome of its citizens will tear you speechless and make you feel welcome in this paradise!

The highlights of the island are the beaches: including Limnos, located in front of the island of Antipsara with no inhabitants, very wild.
Another very beautiful and important beach is Katsouni, where the beach volleyball tournament is held every year. Kato Gialos is a very beautiful beach, guarded by a wonderful white church.

You can also take long excursions, which will take you to discover the most important places including the monastery, the Vatousena church and the Agia Triada church, where inside you will admire the wonderful paintings and monuments.
Another place worth seeing is the cloister of Agios Nikolaos, after a long climb you will be able to admire the breathtaking view that is lost in the bay below.

We also recommend you try the typical dishes offered by the small taverns, you will try genuine food, with products grown directly on the island!
