→ There are 2 Kapellskär Långnäs departures per day, lasting about 4 hours. It is an excellent connection for those in central Sweden who want to travel to Åland, and it is operated by Finnlines. On all Finnlines ferries to Åland only passengers with vehicles (bicycle, motorbike, car) are allowed to board. Bookings for foot passengers are not permitted.🚗
→ The ferry company Viking Line operates the Stockholm Långnäs connection, with regular departures every day of the year. The journey time is approximately 6 hours and 20 minutes and will allow you to reach this hidden pearl of the Baltic Sea directly from the Swedish capital.
Being a small port of call, the ferry terminal in Långnäs does not have many facilities for visitors, but bars, restaurants, car and bike rental, hotels, shops and supermarkets can be found in the town of Mariehamn.

Here you can visit the Åland Maritime Museum, the remains of the former Russian fortress Bomarsund, stroll through its quiet streets and discover local handicrafts in the various small shops. You can take a day trip to Kobba Klintar, an islet once used as a pilot station: the old building has been converted into a café and you can have a coffee in the middle of the sea.
