Ferries to FourniPort connections and services

Are you tired of the usual “famous” islands of Greece? You can set off on an incredible vacation to discover authentic beauty surrounded by nature!

Fourni are located in the Aegean Sea. An undiscovered, wild archipelago with scenery similar to Norway, with few inhabitants tied to maritime tradition.

The first inhabitants of the island date back to the first century B.C., the Roman imprint is very present on the island in fact a sarcophagus was found, dating from the Roman period.

The harbor area is a jewel, you will find the small pier that welcomes boats, both ferries and private boats. Mass tourism has not yet invaded the area, so you will find a place that has remained unspoiled and tied to tradition.

The vegetation surrounding the harbor is similar to Mediterranean scrubland, with its hiding places and bays, a perfect place for pirates, who have invaded the island for millenaries. The island's ancient harbor is called Korseon, the name takes reference to pirate, privateer.

You will have multiple maritime connections, with the shipping company Blue Star Ferries, to the islands and the mainland:
Ag.Kirikos, Chios, Kalymnos, Kastellorizo, Kavala, Kos, Leros, Lesvos, Limnos, Lipsi, Naxos, Nisyros, Paros, Patmos, Piraeus, Rhodes, Samos Valthy, Symi and Tilos.

Check on Mister ferry the connection and duration of your crossing with each town!

When booking with MrFerry, once you chose your departing time and dates, you will be able to choose your accommodation. This can be a standard accommodation, which includes the right to board and to use any services you wish but does not reserve you any seats or cabin. To do so you can book a seat in the reserved lounge or a private cabin with restroom by clicking on the corresponding icons.

Fourni ferries About Fourni

The Fourni archipelago, is a true jewel, left untouched, in the Aegean Sea. The archipelago's ancient tradition has remained intact, thanks in part to its few inhabitants, who continue to carry on the tradition associated with fishing and agriculture.

The sea of the archipelago is very fishy, in fact the island's residents sell their fish at the fish market in Athens. The island is an ideal place if you want to take a vacation immersed in nature and experiencing every second of the tranquility of the place. You will have many trails surrounded by nature, where in ancient times pirates built their strategic hideouts.

Fourni has 3 main villages, Chrysomilea, Fourni Korseon and Thimaina.

The land has always been used since ancient times, as agricultural land, due to its vastness of territory. In the rural areas, it is easy to find the remains of monasteries built in the 16th century.

One place you should definitely see is the Petrokopio quarry, these are marble quarries used since ancient times to build statues and palaces.
Not to be missed are the beaches!
You will find ones for all tastes, both with sand and pebbles, surrounded by the arid landscape. One of the most famous beaches is Petrokopio, most of them unequipped. Bali, one of the most beautiful beaches, calm and warm sea, accessible by cab boat service. Kambi, close to the town, also within walking distance, surrounded by Mediterranean bush, will be the perfect place to relax!
