Capri's port is located in the Marina Grande, on the north side of the island. The port is been build in a natural cave that shelter it from the wind. The port is connected to the center of the island by a car cable.

The port of Capri is divided in two sections, one for private crafts like yacht and fishing boats and the other one for public boats as ferries and hydrofoils. Numerous cruise ships stop in Capri but due to the small dimensions of the port usually the disembarkation is managed offshore and a shuttle service is activated to reach land.

Capri is an international touristic city welcoming about 4 millions of visitors every year. Ferries and Hydrofoils connect Capri to Positano, Ischia, Naples and the Amalfi Coast.

The port area offers coffee shops, restaurants, shops and restrooms. The information point is located on the pier and manage the check-in and check-out, right next to it are the cable car and bus stations. The taxi station is right outside the pier, near the scooter rental.
