Book on MrFerry your ferry from/to Capraia at the best price

Capraia is one of the seven islands that make up the Tuscan archipelago, by size it is the third with an area of 19 square kilometers. It is an autonomous municipality in the province of Livorno and has about 300 inhabitants, so it is a fascinating island that you can visit in peace all year round thanks to the shipping company Toremar . Connections are mainly from Livorno , but in the summer the Elba island and San Vincenzo are also added.

The small port on the island of Capraia is well-equipped, there are countless moorings for boats and several floating docks, there are two main piers: the North Pier and the South Pier but docking is only possible on the North Pier. You will also be able to find a gas station, public toilets and showers, grocery stores, accommodations, and restaurants overlooking the sea.

All ferries to Capraia carry passengers and pets. Passengers will only be able to travel by deck accommodations, which is the simple access to the ship that still allows you to use all the common areas such as the seats area, the cafeteria, or the solarium on board.

Capraia ferries About Capraia

To visit the island of Capraia you do not need a vehicle, plus there are restrictions on embarking and disembarking vehicles provided for smaller islands, so we recommend you read the information before buying your tickets!

In the port area you will find small stores, bars, restaurants, and agencies where you can book excursions to the island. The village is connected to the harbor by a single road about a kilometer long, and you will find colorful alleys and lanes typical of the small island.

The fort of San Giorgio is the most important historical attraction you'll see on the island; the castle dates back to the 1500s thanks to the Pisans. In addition to historical value, it also has cultural value, since some ancient artifacts belonging to the first settlements actions made on Capraia were found inside. You can also visit the Church of St. Nicholas and the Towers of Capraia, which total four, the most significant being the Torre della Regina.

There are also trekking routes available through which you can appreciate the natural heritage of the island, the most challenging is definitely Punta dello Zenobito. On the other hand, if you want to enjoy a beautiful view, one place you cannot miss is Punta Bellavista.

The island also has beautiful coves with crystal clear waters and impressive cliffs, among the most beautiful are Cala Rossa, Cala dello Zurletto and Cala Mortola.
