Book on MrFerry your ferry from/to Alcúdia at the best price

Finally planning your trip to the Balearic islands? Check out prices and promotions on MrFerry and book your ferry trip today! Alcúdia is a municipality on the island of Palma de Mallorca, part of the Balearic Islands, the beautiful Spanish archipelago and popular tourist destination in the western Mediterranean.

Alcudia is the second most important city of Mallorca, located in the northeast of the island. The port of Alcúdia was built at the end of the 18th century as a place to defend the city from the numerous pirate attacks.

🚢 Ferry connections

You can reach the port of Alcúdia from peninsular Spain with the route:

It is also possible to travel from France to Mallorca on the route:

  •  Toulon - Alcúdia ➔ twice a week, high season only, Corsica Ferries company.

Maritime connections from the neighbouring island of Menorca, on the other hand, take place on the routes:

  • Mahón - Alcúdia ➔ five sailings a week, high season only, Trasmed company.

  • Ciutadella - Alcúdia ➔ daily departures, Trasmed and Balearia companies.

Departing from Italy? Unfortunately, there are no direct ferries to Mallorca from Italy. You can take a ferry to Barcelona from Civitavecchia or Genoa and then take one of the connections to Alcúdia.

The modern port of Alcúdia is divided into two areas: a commercial dock and a dock for small boats, with a fishing pier and a tourist pier. The commercial dock plays a key role as an alternative to the port of Palma and its orientation makes it ideal for connections with the island of Menorca. The port area is very close to the city center and offers many services such as restaurants, cafeterias, shops, grocery stores, pharmacies. Close by the boardings are located cars, scooters and bike rentals.

About Alcúdia Discover the ancient Pollentia

Alcúdia is a fascinating and peaceful city, surrounded by city walls and its streets are characteristic with elegant medieval and Renaissance palaces. The old town is welcoming with its small stone houses and its restaurants and outdoor cafes to taste the delicious typical cuisine.

The places to visit absolutely are the ruins of the Roman City Pollentia  which is located just outside the medieval walls of Alcudia and became, in the first 3 centuries AD, the most important Roman city in the Balearic Islands. The ruins include the House of the two Treasures, the best preserved domus of the 3 that have survived to the present day, the Forum, the Roman Theater and Capitolium temple.

🏝️If you are a beach lover and don't want to miss a single one, before you set off to explore the Balearic Islands, you should visit the beautiful beaches of Platja d'Alcudia and Platja de Muro, characterized by their fine white sand and calm turquoise waters.
