➔Experience your Greek adventure on the island of Samos Vathy, a piece of paradise located in the southeastern part of the Aegean Sea, close to the Turkish coast.
Vathy is the capital of the island, the most vibrant and lively town, built in a beautiful natural bay with an amphitheatre-like design.
The town has many winding streets leading to churches and museums.
Ano Vathi is one of the neighbourhoods to visit, a small picturesque village with many places to eat and drink, including bars and restaurants.
You can explore the Archaeological Museum, where you will find many ancient artefacts, or the impressive church of Agios Spyridon, which is very beautiful! Near the town of Vathy there is the monastery of Zoodohos Pigi with fine paintings in the interior.
The main attraction of the island are its beaches:
In the north of Samos there is Lemonakia beach, characterised by pebbles and equipped with umbrellas and sunbeds.
Along the east coast there are the beaches of Klima and Kerveli, protected from the winds and surrounded by pine forests and the pristine blue of the sea.
➔Piraeus is the port city of Athens and this attractive area is embedded in an urbanised environment where every inch is literally covered in asphalt, roads and shops. The main attractions are within a short or long walk.
In the area of Zea, the tourist port, visitors can visit the Archaeological Museum, the Hellenic Maritime Museum and the Ancient Theatre.
The most important district is Mikrolimano, where you can walk along the small fishing harbour with its typical taverns to enjoy the fresh fish specialities.
We recommend you to explore the wonderful city of Athens, where you can discover the magnificent Acropolis and the Agora. From the Acropolis it is only a 10 minutes walk to the Temple of Zeus, the biggest place of worship in ancient Greece, and then on to Syntagma Square.
Before taking the ferry home, enjoy a final swim in the waters of Piraeus. Despite being a port area, you will find crystal clear waters and a range of services to make the most of your final relaxing moments.
HERE IS A TIP: : if you want the cheapest tickets on the market, ideally you should look for them months in advance so as not to fall into the trap of the high season when prices soar!
