Ferries Malta Pozzallo Ferry companies timetables and offers on MrFerry!

Ferries operating the Malta Pozzallo route manage to connect the largest island of the Calipsee archipelago to Sicily.

The route is guaranteed year-round with daily runs by the Virtuferries shipping company. More runs are made during the day, most often 3 but depending on seasonality they can increase. Up to 15 weekly departures can be counted. Malta is about 50 nautical miles from Pozzallo, which is covered in 1 hour and 45 minutes. 

Since the ferries that operate the Malta Pozzallo route are conventional ferries and not hydrofoils it is possible to board motor vehicles, there are also dedicated discounts for those traveling by bicycle. 

Pets are allowed on ferries operating the Malta Pozzallo route, as long as they are properly entered in the reservation. Remember to have everything you need to board your four-legged friend: leash, muzzle if required, carrier and necessary health documentation. You will also have the option of leaving your pet in the car with the windows open during the crossing, given the short crossing.

Pets will not have access to the common areas or dining areas of the ship, but you will find designated areas on the outer and inner decks of the ferry.

The Virtuferries ferry company allows you to take 1 medium-sized suitcase with you; it can be left in your car in the garage or taken to the upper decks.  

At embarkation, you must report one hour before departure, especially if you are traveling with a vehicle in tow.

Ferries Malta Pozzallo On board services

Ferries operating the Malta Pozzallo route do not have cabins given the short route, but an armchair is always included in the ticket. You can relax in the armchair lounge and enjoy the crossing, or on the outside decks looking at the beautiful Sicilian sea.

🐾As for pets, on the other hand, besides taking them with you on the ship's decks or leaving them in the car with the windows down, you can also decide to leave them in a special cabin for dogs and cats located in the ship's garage and equipped with air conditioning.

On board the ferry you will be able to find a range of services that will allow you to spend a relaxing and peaceful crossing. You will find bars, cafeteria, gift and personal care stores, slot machine rooms, and children's play areas. You can enjoy great drinks and fabulous snacks at the on-board cafeteria, or you can opt for one of the various menus offered by the self-service restaurants.

Virtuferries is also committed to ensuring the comfort and safety of passengers with reduced mobility: special facilities such as ramps, toilets, and anchorages for wheelchairs and seats are available on board.
