Ferries to Corsica All the ferry companies on MrFerry!

One of the most picturesque islands in the Mediterranean, Corsica is also known as the Island of Beauty. It is the third-largest island in the Mediterranean, after Sicily and Sardinia.

Birthplace of Napoleon, Corsica is known for its eventful past and its rich popular and gastronomic culture, inevitably influenced by its neighbours over the centuries. Of course, Corsica is also known for the beauty of its territories, its mountainous landscapes and its magnificent coastline.

🏖️ With its beautiful and picturesque towns, numerous bays, sandy beaches and beautiful nature trails, Corsica is the ideal destination for both beach lovers and those who enjoy outdoor sports, diving and hiking.

The island is politically part of France, so the official language is French, but the coast facing Italy has a more international feel, and it is not uncommon to hear people speaking Italian.

🚢 Situated in the centre of the western Mediterranean, its location makes it easily accessible by sea, in fact there are many connections to and from Corsica that you can find on MrFerry.

Overlooking a gulf on the island's coast, you'll find Ajaccio, Corsica's capital and Napoleon's city, which will welcome you to its streets full of history and culture. Bastia will be another of the cities you'll find in your discovery of Corsica, full of colourful buildings and vibrancy.

On the other side of the island, in the southern part, is Bonifacio, characterized by its crystal-clear sea and bays surrounded by natural islands. In Porto Vecchio, you must of course visit the picturesque old town, with its steep streets full of Corsican culture and history. If, on the other hand, you are looking for the sea or a coastal town, we recommend a visit to Propriano.

Corsica enjoys the fact that it is easily accessible by sea; there are 6 marinas throughout the island where you can choose to dock. One of the destinations with the most connections to Corsica is definitely France, you can decide to go to Marseille, Nice, and Toulon.

However, Corsica's connections do not stop at France, you can comfortably get to Civitavecchia, LivornoPiombino, Genoa, Savona, Porto Torres, Santa Teresa di Gallura, and Elba island.

Providing connections to and from Corsica are five shipping companies:

Corsica Sardinia Elba Ferries

• Moby Lines

Ichnusa Lines

La Meridionale

☀️ There is no best time to visit the island, thankfully it enjoys a Mediterranean climate, so you'll find cool summers and mild winters, we recommend visiting during the summer to enjoy the beautiful beaches found throughout the island.

Ferries to Corsica Connections and travel options

You can reach Corsica by day or night ferry. During the day, the crossing is shorter: the crossing time varies from 4 hours to 6 hours and 30 minutes, depending on the route and the ferry used. On the other hand, night crossings take a minimum of 9 hours and a maximum of 14 hours. On night crossings, the crossing time is extended to allow disembarkation at the port of arrival at times convenient for all passengers.

All ferries to Corsica allow passengers, pets, and vehicles of all types and sizes to board.

🛏️ Ferries offer different services, facilities, and accommodation depending on the route. On longer routes, passengers generally prefer to travel in cabins, each with its own facilities. However, for both day and night crossings, it is possible to opt for cheaper solutions such as a seat or deck accommodation without assigned seat.

🍸 While sailing, passengers have access to all common areas and can enjoy indoor facilities such as a café-bar, restaurant, cinema, shopping area and children's rooms. On the outside decks, you can enjoy the sun and the scent of the sea from the comfort of the bar or the deck chairs and benches placed around the ship.

🐕 Your pets can travel with you! Pet-friendly cabins will be available, so you can keep your pet with you at all times and enjoy all the comforts you need on board. Onboard kennels will also be available, always open, so you can visit your pet at any time.

In any case, all passengers are allowed access to all common areas and dining and entertainment services, both inside the ships and on the outside decks.

Tip: This is a very popular itinerary, so we recommend booking well in advance, especially if you are travelling with a vehicle or want to secure specific accommodation.
