The TraVelMar company was founded in 1998, with the idea of creating a maritime subway on the Amalfi Coast and offering tourists and locals a valid alternative to land transport, complicated by the geological conformation of the Sorrento peninsula.
A UNESCO World Heritage Site since 1997, the Amalfi Coast is characterized by a rocky and rugged coastline. Among its promontories, splendid coastal towns were founded over the centuries, whose historic buildings are still reflected in the deep blue of one of the most beautiful seas in Italy.
This coastline includes the marinas of Positano , Amalfi , Minori , Maiori , Cetara , Vietri sul Mare and Salerno, all of which are now connected by Travelmar's fast ferries.

TraVelMar Fleet and on board services
Travelmar only operates during the summer period, from April to October approximately, and suspends its services during the winter season. The company covers the most popular routes in the area, including Salerno Amalfi and Salerno Positano.
The fleet currently consists of 6 fast passenger ferries without vehicles, including innovative vessels such as the latest acquisition Vega I, which, in addition to offering a capacity of over 500 passengers, represents a more environmentally friendly alternative, thanks to the considerable reduction in emissions.
On board the ferry, you can enjoy the fast crossing in one of the seats in the inside lounge or admire the view from the outside decks. Travelmar includes in the ticket price the boarding of one 45x35x20 cm hand luggage per passenger, while any extra luggage can be boarded directly at the port for a small charge.
Travelmar's larger vessels are properly equipped to carry disabled passengers, but some smaller vessels may not offer access. In this case, please consult and book in advance to find the best solution for you.
Pets are welcome on Travelmar ferries! According to the conditions of carriage, they must be muzzled and on a leash, while all small animals must remain inside the carrier. Pets are only allowed on the outside decks.
