Trasmed GLE is a Spanish shipping company, based in Valencia, established in July 2021 and part of the Grimaldi Group. It is involved in the maritime transport of passengers and cargo in the Balearic Islands from the Spanish coast and offers domestic connections between the islands, some of them on an exclusive basis.

This service, together with the routes to Sardinia and mainland Italy offered by Grimaldi Lines, makes it one of the leading maritime transport companies in the Mediterranean Sea.

Trasmed's goals include offering passengers increasingly innovative and sustainable services, through technologies made available during navigation (such as free wifi connection), the search for products for quality catering that respects traditions and the commitment on the environmental front to achieve zero emissions in port and the use of alternative energy sources.

Its fleet consists of 6 recently refurbished Ro-Pax ferries, which carry a large number of passengers and vehicles throughout the year and guarantee a continuous and essential service to the Balearic Islands.

⚓ Ports and destinations of Trasmed ferries.

Trasmed offers connections from two of the most important ports in mainland Spain:

• Barcelona 

• Valencia

The Balearic Islands can benefit from year-round connections from the islands of:

• Palma di Mallorca: from the ports of Palma and Alcúdia 

• Menorca: from the port of Mahón 

• Ibiza: from the port of Ibiza

✔️ Check-in and boarding

Upon confirmation of your reservation with Trasmed, you will be sent a summary document with a reference number (localizador), which guarantees your ticket on board the ferry.

Before boarding, you will need to check in and pick up your boarding passes. You will be able to download them from the Trasmed website by providing the localizador and your ID, or pick them up at the port at ticket counters or vending machines at some maritime stations.

Check-in can be done from 7 days before departure. Note that once you collect your boarding passes, you may not be able to cancel or apply some changes to your ticket. In some cases, you may need to stop by the ticket office to verify special reductions discounts.

Boarding presentation times are 30 minutes prior to departure for foot passengers and 90 minutes by vehicle.

🍴 What are the services on board Trasmed ferries?

On board Trasmed ferries you will find numerous amenities designed for the comfort and entertainment of all passengers.

You can relax on the outdoor decks and sunbathing areas by the swimming pool, or in the indoor lounges with TV and air conditioning. There are stores for souvenirs and last-minute shopping.

For children you'll always find play areas and, during high season, dedicated entertainment and activities.

There is also ample choice on board in terms of dining A la carte restaurants, self-service restaurants and bars/cafeterias offer Spanish cuisine and special menus, with an emphasis on local products.

🛏️ What accommodations can I book?

Trasmed offers a wide range of accommodations on board, depending on the ship used and the length of the crossing you choose.

Your ticket may provide simple deck passage (you will stay in the common areas of the ship, with no assigned seat) or a numbered seat.

In either case, you can add a reclining or partially reclining seat that is private and located in an exclusive-entry lounge.

For maximum comfort, especially during longer routes, we recommend that you book a cabin, which can be 2 or 4-bed, inside or with a sea view, simple or "superior." All cabins are for your exclusive use and equipped with a bathroom with shower.

🐾 Can I travel with my pet? 

Your pet is welcome on board all Trasmed ships! The company has also been awarded the Pet Friendly certification by the Spanish foundation FAADA, thanks to its commitment and care for our four-legged friends.

Pets can walk on the outside decks and in their designated areas, always equipped with a leash or carrier. They may stay in the on-board kennels, in individual video-monitored accommodations. 

Trasmed Company also has cabins with animal access, which will allow you to stay with your travel companion for the duration of the crossing!

🚗 Can I board my vehicle on Trasmed ferries?

All Trasmed ships have spacious garages, suitable for transporting vehicles of all sizes: cars, motorcycles, campers, caravans, and vans (carrying personal belongings only). Especially in high season and for larger vehicles, don't forget to book in advance, as availability tends to sell out easily!
