Ichnusa Lines Fleet and on board services
The ferry Ichnusa (ancient Greek name for Sardinia) was built and launched by Fincantier in 1985, first purchased by the shipping company Tirrenia and then sold to the shipping company Blunavy. The ship was refurbished from the inside out in 2019 and is now owned by GTM (Genova Trasporti Marittimi) and is used on routes between Sardinia and Corsica.
The Ichnusa Lines ferry can carry up to 350 passengers and 50 cars, and is equipped with modern stabilization systems that allow it to sail on the Santa Tersa Bonifacio route and vice versa, even in adverse weather conditions, to ensure passengers a safe crossing.
On board the Ichnusa there is a large garage, air-conditioned rooms with TV, bar and toilets. Those who wish to enjoy the sea and the sun during the crossing can also relax on the upper decks, where there are additional seats.
