The Grimaldi Lines ferry company was founded in 1947 by the Grimaldi brothers, specialized in the maritime stansports of passengers, cars, rolling stock and containers. Over the years the company become one of the most important Italian ferry company in the Mediterranean.
Grimaldi Lines, which is now based in Palermo, Sicily, takes its name in 1999 and has as its main goal the development of the "Motorways of the Sea" project: the introduction of a maritime transport service for commercial and freight vehicles, passengers and private vehicles.
Grimaldi Lines is the first Italian ferry company to receive internationally valid quality certificates with a fleet of 16 newly built ferries.

Grimaldi Lines routes allow you to reach the main Italian islands, so there are departures to Sicily, from Livorno to Palermo or from Salerno to Palermo. Other Grimaldi departures are planned from Civitavecchia, Livorno or Naples to Sardinia, to the ports of Olbia or Porto Torres and Cagliari.
Other Grimaldi lines crossings are scheduled for Greece, from the port of Brindisi to Igoumenitsa and Corfu. With the Grimaldi ships passengers can also discover Spain with the route Civitavecchia - Porto Torres - Barcelona. Other Grimaldi crossings to Tunisia are scheduled with the Salerno - Tunis, Palermo - Tunis and Civitavecchia - Tunis lines.
During crossing passengers can enjoy all the services on board such as bars, cafeterias and restaurants with different menus for every need, play areas for children and teenagers, panoramic terraces and evening entertainment.
Passengers can choose whether they want to spend the night on a simple deck passage or in the comfortable armchairs in the common areas, or whether they want to travel in complete privacy and book a cabin with exclusive access and a private restroom. There are also adequate facilities on board and reduced tariffs for guests with disabilities, which must be requested when booking.
Pets are welcome on board Grimaldi Lines ferries. However, they must travel in the appropriate accommodations such as kennel on board or pet-friendly cabins as they do not have access to the common areas.
