Finland is among the world's most progressive and advanced countries of Europe.

It is surrounded by breathtaking landcapes with its lakes, forests and hills where coulors are constantly changing according to the season and travellers can enjoy a unique atmosphere, immersed in nature.

Located in northern Europe, Finland is bordered to the West by the Gulf of Bothnia, to the South by the Baltic Sea and to the South-East by the Gulf of Finland.

Thanks to its strategic geographical position, Finland benefits from maritime connections to Estonia, an authentic destination on the Baltic countries, to Sweden, the Scandinavian country par excellence, and to Germany, the gateaway to continental Europe.

The shipping companies that serve Finland are the two flag carriers: Finnlines and Eckero.

Finnlines Fleet and on board services

Gateaway to continental Europe, the HelsinkiTravemunde crossing is the connection between Finland and Germany, it is operated all year round by the ferry company Finnlines; the Finnish German line takes about 29 hours and it is served by renovated ferries which provide comfortable and modern facilities on board. Departures from Finland to Sweden are operated by Finnlines

Ferries depart from the Finnish port of Naantali, making a stop at Långnäs port in the Aland Archipelago after a 3.5-hour crossing, to end its route at the port of Kapellskar in Sweden after a total crossing time of 9 hours. The 2 hour Finland – Estonia crossing is managed by the Eckero shipping company with up to 5 dailiy departures.
