Elba Ferries is a shipping company belonging to Corsica & Sardinia Ferries, an Italian-French shipping company founded in Corsica in 1968 by Pascal P. Lota.
Elba Ferries was founded in 2012 with the main goal of offering a convenient alternative on the existing connection between Piombino and Portoferraio. The first departure to Elba was inaugurated with a fast ferry that reached the island in just 30 minutes.
This service was immediately appreciated by tourists and locals, who could travel in a shorter time and at very reasonable prices, even boarding their own vehicle.
The following year the company introduced a new fast connection between Elba and Corsica on the Elba Ferries route Portoferraio - Bastia with 2 weekly departures.

Elba Ferries connections are scheduled only in the high season, from June to September, and include several daily Elba Ferries departures on the Piombino - Portoferraio route and two weekly departures on the Portoferraio - Bastia route.
There are many services available to passengers on board Elba Ferries ships, including a snack bar, cafeteria, toilets, air-conditioned lounges with recliners, TV and wifi, a children's playground and some stores selling typical local products. There is also additional seating on the outside decks, from which you can enjoy the view throughout the trip.
Elba Ferries offers numerous deals and special prices for all groups and educational trips. Assistance is provided for disabled passengers or passengers with reduced mobility, who must notify their condition at the time of booking and arrive at the port one hour in advance.
All pets are allowed on board Elba Ferries ships and must travel with their owner at all times. Cats and other small animals must be placed in their own pet carrier, while dogs must be kept on a leash and muzzled.
