Most departures to Capri take place during the day with hydrofoils. The frequency of departures increases considerably during summer, with departures from early morning until late evening, as more and more tourists decide to visit the island.
The journey time varies according to the line chosen, and the hydrofoil used by the company: it is possible to reach the island of Capri in just 20 minutes, or in 1 hour and 30 minutes if you choose a journey with several stopovers.
🚢 What services will you find on board?
Hydrofoils to Capri are faster and smaller than the traditional ferry, and the comfortable seats and air conditioning make the crossing pleasant. However, there are very few connections by ferry. Capri is subject to strict traffic regulations, so vehicle access is extremely limited.
As they are hydrofoils, the only accommodation on board is deck passage or seats.
Passengers on board the hydrofoils to Capri will find a number of services available to make the crossing, although short, pleasant and relaxing.
During the trip, passengers will be able to use all the common areas and internal services, such as the cafeteria-bar, luggage storage, outdoor decks with views of the Gulf of Naples, and always-available toilets. On the main deck, passengers will find areas reserved for people with disabilities or reduced mobility.
Hydrofoils do not have garages on board, so it will not be possible to transport vehicles, but this will not be a problem as the island of Capri has a good public transport system; every part of the island is well-connected by bus or private services.
🐶 Pets:
Want to travel with your pet? No problem at all! All ferry companies that operate services to and from Capri allow pets on board. They must be kept on a leash and muzzled if required by the company, and can travel with their owners in the special areas which will be indicated by the ship's staff.
Pets must be provided with a leash, muzzle, carrier in the case of small animals, and health and vaccination records for proper boarding.
In any case, all ships, whether hydrofoil or conventional ferry, have bar facilities, chairs and seats, viewing terraces, kennels for your pets and walking areas.
