Ferries to Balearic IslandsAll the ferry companies on Mr Ferry!
Balearic Islands are an archipelago of Spain in the western Mediterranean Sea. The four largest islands such as Ibiza, Maiorca, Minorca and Formentera are among the most popular tourist destinations. These are the perfect combination of relax and entertainment; during daytime many beaches and landscapes are to explore before letting the night life take over, in particular Ibiza is known as an international party destination attracting popular Djs to its nightclubs.
Unfortunately there are not direct ferry connections from Italy to the Balearic Islands, that are instead available from Spain’s most important ports as Barcelona, Valencia, and Denia.
The best ferry companies run between the mainland and the islands and between the islands themselves. During high season (from May to October) the sailings are decidedly increased and it is recommendable to book your ferry ticket in advace.
Ferries to Balearic IslandsConnections and travel options
Departures to the Balearic Islands are year-round from the eastern Spanish ports of Barcelona, Denia and Valencia, while in high season it is also possible to reach the islands of Mallorca and Menorca from the French port of Toulon.
All shipping companies offer frequent departures and guarantee a continuous flow of passengers to the islands throughout the day. Crossings to the Balearic Islands take place both during the day and at night, so you can choose the time that best suits your needs. The longest routes can take between 6 and 9 hours and 30 minutes.
All ferries to the Balearic Islands can board both passengers and vehicles. They offer different types of accommodation and excellent on-board facilities such as bars and cafes, restaurants, TV rooms and play areas for children. Passengers can choose to travel in cabins equipped with all comforts or opt for a more affordable solution, such as seats in the shared lounges or deck passages.
Inter-island connections are rather short and are usually done by smaller vessels, sometimes hydrofoils, which cannot carry vehicles. On board the hydrofoils to the Balearic Islands passengers will find all essential services, snack bars, toilets, air-conditioned lounges and comfortable seating.
